I just wanted to inform those who may know of him that my ex-husband, Joe Howerton, died unexpectedly and suddenly on January 20 apparently the result of a massive heart attack. It sounds like it was pretty much a DOA when he was taken to Weiss Hospital in Chicago. He will be creamted and there will be no service per his wishes of many years ago. Some may have known him from his work with DHS, but he was not one to socialize or keep up with anyone. My sons told me his obituary appears on the Drake and Sons Funeral HOme web site or something about unity memorial. He was 80 years old.
