Hi Jean,

I haven't used a mac, but I can point you to some resources. Comparing the Apple environment to Windows is like comparing apples to oranges. I would do a lot of research before you buy anything. The most important considerations are how are you using a computer now and how much will you be willing to spend for something new. Generally, Apple computers are more expensive than computers running Windows, but Apple has good hardware. If you decide to go the Apple route, then you should also get training. There are many training resources and classes and some of them are free. Send me an e-mail if you want more information. You should base your decision on your use case and not on what people say is best. There are pros and cons for each operating system.

Dan

Subject: [IL-Talk] Apple laptops

Hi all,

My Toshiba laptop has nearly died. I have one or two more ways to possibly fix it. I think it’s time for a new one after seven years.

Has anyone purchased an Apple laptop? I’m curious how it works with voiceover and zoom. Is it hard to transition from Windows to Apple?
