Hello Everyone,
As Denise shared at today’s Chapter meeting, the MOPD Global Accessibility
Awareness Day will take place this Thursday, May 19th. The event is from
11am - 3:30pm.The location of the event is at the MOPD’s larger office,
2102 W Ogden. Parking is available in the parking lot. No parking permits
are required that day. The NFB will have a table to provide information to
the community about our organization.

If you need help filling this out please email me, kobradov at gmail.com or
call (402) 670-1980. If you have any difficulties using technology just
give me a call and leave me your name and I will sign you up.
The event will have food trucks, scooters, a COVID-19 vaccine clinic
(12:30P.M. – 1:30P.M.), a panel discussion about digital accessibility, and
partner organizations from the disability community! Please see below for a

Here is the day's schedule:
11:00 - 3:30: Resource fair with disability community representatives
11:15 - 2:00: Panel of people with disabilities talking about digital
accessibility
12:00 - 2:30: Adaptive scooter demonstration and testing
12:30 - 1:30: Vaccine clinic available (Rooms A & B)
1:30 - 2:00: Mayor Lightfoot and other Commissioners will speak to
audience
2:00 - 2:40: Reinventability adaptive dance performance
3:30: Event ends
