Transition Coordinator


"Our Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) team at State Services for
the Blind (SSB) offers a dynamic, team-oriented environment where everyone's
contribution is key to achieving SSB's mission. Our services for youth are
innovative, customer-focused, and rooted in the belief that young people are
empowered to direct the course of their lives. 

 

The purpose of this position is to provide statewide leadership in the
design, implementation, and coordination of innovative and engaging programs
and outreach projects for blind, visually impaired, and DeafBlind transition
students across Minnesota. By coordinating with teams and field staff within
State Services for the Blind (SSB), this position is responsible for the
comprehensive planning, development, and evaluation of the Pre-ETS program
and related services. The incumbent accomplishes this through a thorough
knowledge of complex federal and state requirements, policies, and models
specific to youth and students, particularly the federal Workforce
Innovation and Opportunities Act (WIOA). This position ensures outreach to
each blind, visually impaired and DeafBlind student is made and that
performance measures for this program are achieved. Relationship building is
a key element of this position.
