Ride for Literacy Finale Invitation

Celebrate with Us

The National Federation of the Blind and the Harold Washington Library
Center Assistive Resources & Talking Book Center cordially invite you to
celebrate the completion of the Route 66 Ride for Literacy on September 8,
2023.

Come meet and cheer on Dan O'Rourke as he finishes his 2,700-mile journey
along Route 66. You'll hear from leaders of the organized blind movement,
meet other organizations serving the blind community, enjoy refreshments
while connecting with members, and learn about Braille and other reading
resources for blind and low-vision people. Please RSVP to Rachel Held at
rheld at nfb.org <mailto:rheld at nfb.org> and let us know who is coming.

You can join us at the Route 66 Plaque at the Art Institute of Chicago at
9:00 AM as Dan completes his ride and walk over to the Harold Washington
Library Center with us. You can also meet us at the library at 9:30 AM and
take part in the festivities at the library.

The address of the Art Institute of Chicago is 111 S. Michigan Avenue. For
those of you joining us at the library, we will meet in the South Hall on
the 9th floor. Enter on the Plymouth Court side, at 401 S. Plymouth Court.
