Good Morning Everyone,

On march 1, 2023, the Medical Device Nonvisual Accessibility Act (HR1328)
was introduced by Rep. Schakowsky (D. IL 8) in the 118th Congress. It has 32
original sponsors, including 4 from Illinois, Rep. Sean Casten, (IL. 6),
Rep. Danny Davis, (D. IL 7), Rep. Jesus Garcia, (D. IL. 4), and Rep. Mike
Quigley, (D. IL. 5).

For those of you in these districts, please write to thank your
representative. We are off to a great start with this legislation, and it is
important to build cosponsors for HR1328, the Medical Device Nonvisual
Accessibility Act. Please reach out to your representative and urge them to
sign on as a cosponsor.

I want to also make you aware that the Transformation to Competitive
Integrated Employment Act, has been re-introduced in both the House and
Senate, HR 1263/S533). This would phase out Section 14C of the Fair Labor
Standards Act, which allows employers to pay subminimum wages to disabled
people. Please call or write your representative and our two senators to
cosponsor this legislation in their respective chambers.

Have a wonderful day and thank you for all you do.
