Advocates,

The disability-led Institutional Rescue and Recovery Coalitional (IRRC) developed two significant bills to protect the rights of people with disabilities in Illinois and to create more effective plans for helping more people to move out of institutions and into the community.

These bills are each scheduled for hearings this week!

Hearing Thursday, March 9, 8:00am

These bills must pass out of committee by the end of this week so things are moving fast abd time is short.

People with disabilities and seniors need your help now!

HB3629 - (increases PNA, adds enforcement for anti-retaliation, helps keep people out of facilities)

HB3716 - creates a task force to plan a transformation of long term care so people with disabilities and elders have a real choice for getting home or community-based care, instead of a facility

(for more detail on these bills, see attached document)
