For the past few months I have been involved in meetings with staff at the
Lincoln Park Zoo, working on accessible signage for the seal exhibit. The
prototype is now available and will be on display on the dates listed below.
Please visit the zoo, take a look at the seal installation, and give us your

Spring is one of the most vibrant times of the year at Lincoln Park Zoo, and
now we have another great reason for you to visit in 2023!   

Over the last months, Lincoln Park Zoo, in partnership with individuals with
disabilities and our animal care experts, developed an accessible,
interactive installation about caring for

<https://www.lpzoo.org/animals/harbor-seal/> harbor seals. You are invited
to test and give feedback on the prototype of this installation. During the
times listed below the protype will be available outdoors near
<https://www.lpzoo.org/pressroom/kovler-seal-pool/> Kovler Seal Pool. In
case of rain, the prototype will be available indoors at
<https://www.lpzoo.org/pressroom/regenstein-small-mammal-reptile-house/>
Regenstein Small Mammal-Reptile House. In addition to interacting with the
prototype, zoo staff will collect your feedback. Your comments will help
shape accessibility and content for the final permanent installation.  

Dates and times for prototyping:  

Tuesday, May 23 10am-12pm and 1-3pm  

Wednesday, May 24 1-3pm  

Friday, May 26 10am-12pm and 1-3pm  

Saturday, May 27 10am-12pm and 1-3pm (ASL interpreter will be present for
both sessions) 

Tuesday, May 30 10am-12pm and 1-3pm   

Friday, June 2 10am-12pm
