[IL-Talk] Prayers

Hi all,

 

I would appreciate everyone's prayers. I had outpatient cosmetic eye surgery
yesterday and am feeling under the weather. I have some pain and didn't
sleep well last night. I think the anesthetic may still be wearing off. I
have a follow-up visit with the doctor next week and hope I don't get an
infection. I have two concerns about the procedure. Each time I signed a
form the nurse asked someone to witness the signature because I'm blind. I
realize it's hard to write on an iPad screen but why do I need a witness?
The nurse said it was the policy of the clinic. I also wish I could get
documents in an electronic format. When I left the nurse handed Chris a
stack of paper. We need to continue to educate medical professionals about
the proper etiquette to interact with persons with disabilities. You would
think this would be a training requirement for anyone entering the medical
field.
