Hi Pam,

  Thanks for your up-date to your Federation  family.  We all hope to get
together with you at State Convention if not at National Convention.

Life is sometimes a struggle isn't it.  Bob and I have just moved into a new
large condominium on Amelia Island, Florida, where we have been living most
of the time for about eleven years.  We plan to bring most of our Illinois
furniture down here within the next two years.  Things go slowly partly
because Bob has developed prostate cancer for the second time after we
bought the new place.  
  We both always will love Illinois, but we like Florida winters much
better.  

  If I don't see you at National Convention in Orlando, I will look for ward
to your fellowship at State Convention in Naperville.

Hello Federation Family,

I wanted to share with you what has been going on with me lately.  Early in
March I was taken to the hospital.  The symptoms at that time indicated a
possible stroke.  Thankfully it was not a stroke.  However since then my
speech has been unlike my usual talking speed and clarity.  I am currently
receiving speech therapy. The episode has also caused some unsteadiness in
my hands.

I am hoping to be at the meeting on Saturday in person. All I ask is that
you be patient with my slow and sometimes stuttering speech.

I apologize to those who were expecting me to return phone calls or be at
Zoom meetings.  I did not begin my speech therapy until two weeks after I
came home from the hospital.

I have to admit this has been a real struggle for me.  In January I started
a support and discussion group here at Brookdale for residents dealing with
new vision loss. We only had two meetings before this happened.  I am hoping
we can start up again in May.  I want my speech to be clear because some
members of the group are also dealing with hearing loss.
