Gina as a great freind and she will be badly missed. I have been saying prayers daily for her for many years. She was a wonderful and overly caring indivual.

I have some sad news. I learned from Jemal Powell that longtime Federation
member, Gina Falvo passed away yesterday. My prayers and condolences go out
to her family.
Jemal did not have the times, But the services are as follows:

There is a Pace Bus that stops about a half block from the funeral home and
comes from the Metra Electric station

St. Kieran Catholic Church 724 W. 195th St. Chicago Heights IL 60411
The church is at the corner of 195th and Halsted, and can be accessed by
Pace Bus 352.

This is very sad news indeed! Gina was a member of our Chicago Chapter for
many years. She was an avid knitter, and she often contributed her creations
to our chapter auction. She fought cancer for years, always determined and
optimistic. Her passing is truly a loss to our community.

I always remembered seeing Gina a lot of chapter meetings. I know she was

It is indeed very sad about Gina. She had time for everyone and she was
especially conscious of the suffering of others. For years, she greeted me
at every chapter meeting when she saw me. She always asked about Teresa and
she always made it a point to let me know that Teresa and I were in her
prayers. She actually sounded quite strong during the September chapter
meeting.

I am greatly saddened and shocked to hear of Gina's death. I knew she was
battling cancer again, but I didn't know it was so very serious right now.
Gina was wonderful for the Illinois Affiliate and , I hope, we have been

Wow, another shock in not many days. Gina was still fairly young, but she
had struggled with health over the years. Despite that, she always was
steadfast taking care of her elderly mom, and yet gave of herself to our
chapter for many years. I'll miss Gina, and pray for her family.

Hi guys, if anyone is interested in going to Gina's wake, Sunday, at the
same time, I'll share my plans (othewise, you may still find useful the
links and info below for planning your own trip via public transit).
I was already thinking of coming to the city for the Lighthouse's Rise to
Shine walk/run, so I'll come in the morning and head out to Chicago Heights
in the early afternoon (unless i learn that there's a more set time for
visitation).
I plan to take the Metra Electric

[FYI, this is odd compared to other Metra schedules--the weekend table
mashes Saturday and Sunday together with every column header saying if it's
Saturday, Sunday or both days, and then, since the table is very wide, the
trips after about 8pm are in a leftover table on the next page]
12:10pm, I'll leave from Millenium Station (Randolph at Michigan Ave)
1:09 get off at 211th street station (right after Olympia Fields)
211th, Lincoln Highway 30, and 14th Street are all the same street.

Pace 357 goes straight east on 14th Street.
The funeral home is near the end of the block that is sandwiched between

Also, for the return trip, there's a 357 westbound bus stop on the opposite
(northeast) corner of Division and 211th (Hwy 30 or 14th st.)
