[IL-Talk] NLS Updates

Hi all,

 

I found out from a mailing list that there is an update for the Humanware
model of the NLS e-readers. I don't recall seeing an announcement about it
from NLS. I installed it and the update resolves issues I had reassigning
thumb keys and using the text reflow option. If you download your books
directly to the device using wi-fi, you can go to the settings menu and
check for updates. When you install the update, the device goes into
recovery mode and then restarts. During the restart, the device gets
updated. I think it shuts down when it's finished and then you can turn the
device back on. If anyone needs help with the update, let me know, and I
would be happy to go through the update step-by-step.

 

There is also an update to the iOS version of the BARD Mobile app. The
update adds some settings, and I haven't had a chance to look at them yet.
