Hey everyone. Well I got the results of the MRI. All that pain I'm feeling is coming from the arthritis I have in the kneecap and I have no cartilage left. The doctor is recommending a total knee replacement. However, would I like about him is he's not rushing me. He, like Andy and me, want to make sure we have all our eyes dotted and our Teas crossed before going forward with the surgery. The first thing I'm going to do is get a second opinion. I like this doctor a lot and he's very thorough. And he's not freaked out at all about the blindness. I just wanna get another opinion just to be sure because this is a big decision. Now another thing I want to hear about, off List of course, is those of you who have had knee replacements. What if your experience has been like? Have they worked? How have you adapted whether using a cane or guide dog? I am also going to get on the Guiding Eyes WhatsApp group so I could get information about experiences from them as well. Yes this sucks. But all I could do is go with the process and take it a step at a time. thanks in advance for any thoughts, advice, prayers, well wishes, etc. I will keep y'all posted.
