[IL-Talk] Let's Remember Who We Are

Hello, those on our state list serve, Il-Talk

 

I know are emotions are running high these days when it comes to politics
and everything about them. I personally am among that group also. But
remember that Il-Talk is a list serve with a mission to discuss issues that
concern blindness. 

 

As your Moderator for the list serve, I usually stretch that mission
statement to include personal and family issues among our members like
births, deaths, and health issues. Postings like that help to keep us
together as an NFB family. 

 

But we definitely are not a list serve to discuss politics. If you have
views on that subject you wish to express please find another list serve or
chat group that has been created to discuss such issues. 

 

We are not going to allow a political fire fight among our members on
Il-talk. Those who post blatant political messages will be removed from
Il-Talk at my direction by those heading NFB.Org. 

 

So far I have not seen such messages that go over the line when it comes to
expressing personal political views, but a few that come close. Please be
careful about what you post to Il-Talk and we should be okay.
