Hello NFB of Illinois Family,
Can you believe it? The 2025 State Convention is only one week away! Your door prize co-chairs, Tasabih Elfaki and Michelle Ault , can’t wait to see everyone and share in the excitement. This year’s theme, “Reflecting Our Truth,” is all about celebrating who we are, and your door prizes help make that celebration come to life.
If you’ve already donated, thank you so much! Your generosity is filling our prize table with fun, joy, and a few surprises along the way.
If you haven’t yet, there’s still time to join in!Popular prize ideas include:
• Gift cards
• Snacks or treats
• Self-care or home goodies
• Tech gadgets
• Anything that spreads a little happiness
We especially appreciate items that are compact and easy to travel with. Adding Braille or large print labels is also encouraged, so everyone can fully enjoy the experience.
And for those who prefer to give monetary donations, we’re now accepting them through Zelle!
Send your contribution to treasurer at nfbofillinois.org , and reach out to Michal Nowicki, our State Treasurer , to confirm receipt. If you’d like your donation handled in a certain way, for instance, if you donate $50 and want it divided into multiple door prizes, simply let Michal know. Please include a note on your Zelle payment that it’s for Door Prizes at the IL State Convention.
