Thanks, Bill, for sharing this. Reading the article was not how I wanted to start my day. What was this judge thinking? He's obviously completely misinformed about the capabilities of blind people. Every day blind parents are successfully raising happy well-adjusted children. I have never had a desire to be a parent, or know anything about parenting. I do know that there are no barriers preventing blind people to successfully parent children. It's unfortunate that the mother needs to deal with this considering there is legislation to prevent this sort of thing from happening. I hope the mother gets her day in court and teaches the judge a lesson. If the judge is unwilling to change his mind about the capabilities of blind people, then he needs to be removed from office. His actions demonstrate that he is not impartial. I wish the woman every success in resolving this matter.
