Hello,

September 1 is the final day to apply for a Chappell-Dennis grant to help
you attend the 2026 National Federation of the Blind of Illinois State
Convention.

Don't let tight finances keep you from attending our 2026 state convention.
We encourage you to apply. The Chappell-Dennis grant provides modest
financial assistance to help applicants participate in the convention and
connect with the Federation.

Applications must be submitted by Tuesday, September 1, at 11:59 p.m. CT.

Complete the online application here:

https://nfbofillinois.org/chappell-dennis-award/application

Submit your application before the deadline and make plans to join us at
convention!

If you have questions or need help completing the application, please email
president at nfbofillinois.org <mailto:president at nfbofillinois.org> .

I look forward to an excellent convention with our members and friends!

Live the life you want!

The National Federation of the Blind advances the lives of its members and
all blind people in the United States. We know that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise
expectations of blind people because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. Our collective power, determination,
and diversity achieve the aspirations of all blind people.
