IABS Minutes for May 14, 2009.

Meeting began at 8:05 Pm.
The minutes from the April 7 meeting were accepted.  The treasurer reported no change in the Treasury.  The expenditures we are to have depend on what the fundraising committee recommends.    We are looking into putting together travel packs of things for the State Convention.  We had a discussion about the Sorry Try Again Raffle that IABS is working on.  We will need help during the June NFBI Chapter meeting to complete preparation of these.  The NFBI meeting will be held on Saturday, June 13 at 1:00 Pm at The Exchequer Pub.  IABS will take half of the total number of tickets and sell them.  The deadline to sell them is October 11.  There are five winning envelopes in each manila envelope.The number of tickets that should be sold by October 11 is 450.  The nomination for the Service Award was tabled.  There is a membership drive this June.  Carmen and Patti discussed how the membership drive will be handled.  We need to handle Rockford.  We have seven chapters/groups.  At Large Members is the seventh group. Patricia Bissell is being considered to head the Howard and Wilbur are putting together the list for the At Large Chapter.  I have suggested to take on the Spanish calls.  I will be helping Carmen.  A motion was made to take the At Large potential members to try to establish a Chapter in June.  Michelle or Brandy need to find out who is going to represent IABS at the Nabs Meeting.  Meeting was adjourned at 8:55 pm.  Next meeting will be on Tuesday Jun 2, 2009 at 8:00 PM.
