Rob,

I tried to call you several times on Sunday, but I got no answer and no opportunity to leave a message.  I may  have been misdialing -- I've done a lot of that latlely.  So I'm sorry I didn't manage to reach you.  I'll try again when I actually have a mission (in using the list serve ).  I seem to be able to haandle the bare minimum of responding to other people's emails, for now.

I'm delighted to know that you, Chikako, Cheryl and Ron will have some  (most, I hope) of  your expenses paid to the convention.  I expect we  have you to thank for applyiing for the grant.

I hope I will  be able to arrange to attend the seminar on the 11th.  I'll let  you know as soon as I know.  Thanks for all you do!
