Hi, Brendy:

 

I think this is a great idea!  I think we'd prefer an evening showing
though.  What do the rest of you think?  How much are tickets?

 

I'll talk with Renee on Monday; I feel fairly certain that she and Charles
will want to come and will let the list know.

Hello all,

Would any of us be interested in going to see the new Kevin Willmott  move
"Jayhawkers" at the Lied Center the weekend of Feb. 14-16? I have made a
request to KU Audio Reader to have one of the screenings described. Here is
a blurb about it from the Facebook page

American Society. Jayhawkers stars KU alumnus Kip Niven (Magnum Force) as
Coach Phog Allen, Jay Karnes (The Shield) as Chancellor Franklin Murphy,
Trai Byers (90210) as jazz musician Nathan Davis and current KU forward
Justin Wesley as Wilt Chamberlain. 

 

Scot Pollard is also in it, as well as Kevin Willmott  and several Lawrence
residents as extras.

 

Showtimes are:

Friday, February 14 at 7 p.m. & 9 p.m.

Saturday, February 15 at 11 a.m., 7 p.m. & 9 p.m.

Sunday, February 16 at 1 p.m., 4 p.m. & 7 p.m.

 

I just contacted Audio Reader today; they will try to get an advance copy
and set up a volunteer to do this, but of course can't guarantee anything
yet.

If you do want to go, what showtime would be the best? They would probably
only provide description for one showtime. I took a guess and told them
Saturday at 11:00 am, but let me know your preferences. I realize that is
also our regular meeting day.so we could maybe carpool to Independence, Inc.
afterward? Or maybe an evening show is preferable.let me know! We should get
tickets as soon as we decide.
