Good morning Sidney,

 

Thanks for letting me know of your anticipated absence from the meeting today. I love your humorous comment about getting to the bottom of the matter. However, I’ll preserve your dignity by telling our Jayhawk chapter colleagues that you’re having a  medically prescribed hospital bed assembled for you today.

 

We’ll miss you today, but I wish you safety and comfort and we hope to see you in June, be it a regular business meting or a social gathering.

Rob, I learned late this afternoon that the much anticipated arrival of my hospital bed, which my doctor had ordered several weeks ago, would  occur tomorrow at noon.  This is great news because it will bring a much healthier and more comfortable environment for my pressure sores.  (Nothing like advance notice for us to get my present bed down and out!)

 

The bad news is that I won't be able to attend the meeting tomorrow because it will take some time for the bed to be set up and for us to learn how to use it (as well as the accompanying trapeze).  So, please accept my apologies for my not attending.

 

I hope the meeting goes well.  If anyone asks, I don't mind your saying why I am not able to attend...you can just get right to the bottom of the matter, if you like.  Ahem.

It doesn’t seem possible, but chapter meeting time has once again crept upon us. The agenda is as per usual is both attached and posted below for your reading convenience. Note we are in meeting room C in the basement of the Lawrence Public Library.
