Hello again,

 

Lynda, Greg and I went to visit Tina this afternoon. The nurses were helping her to breathe on her own. It’s quite a huge effort for her. Tina’s friend, Leah, and Clara were still there, with her. Leah has been taking Clara running. 

 

Tina is not able to speak, but she can respond to some degree with head shakes and nods. When I came over to say hello, she reached her hand out to me and I held it for a while. It’s encouraging to see her communicating a little, and and showing some awareness, but overwhelmingly heart breaking. 

 

The Saturday before the accident I heard her sing at church. She has a beautiful voice. Afterward we went to the ethnic festival, and had a great time.

 

I’m still in a state of shock, as I’m sure you are too. I can’t get over how a few tragic seconds can so drastically change the course of a life.

In an email from a friend of Tina: The breathing tube has been removed. Tina is working hard to take deep breaths. Picture attached to email showed Clara lying on Tina's bed.with her.Sounds so much better than just a day or so ago, Still fighting pneumonia but sounds much better.
