Greetings and salutations, Kansas Federation Family,

I thought I would drop a line to remind all of you that the deadline to register for the 2023 national convention in Houston Texas is rapidly upon us. The convention registration deadline is May 31. To cover much of the expenses of nearly a full week in Houston during the first week of July, we have allocated scholarship slots in the amount of $1500 per person, but you will need to get your name in the hopper, and very soon. To do so, you will need to contact your chapter president in writing, and your name will be communicated to our state president Tom Page, who will make the final decision as to who will be able to receive a scholarship.

Those who receive a scholarship to the 2023 national convention are asked to do the following.
• attend the national board meeting
• attend the national resolutions committee meeting
• attend a national committee or division meeting
• attend all convention general sessions.
• attend the convention banquet.
• be prepared to share your thoughts and impressions of the convention at your chapter or state affiliate meeting

For those of you who are unable to attend the convention this year, the board has decided to make a remote interface available through Zoom at no charge. The deadline for registeriThe deadline for registering for either the in person or remote participation is the same date, May 31 .

If you can make it to the convention, please try to do so, as there will be much learning that will take place with good times in store. For your convenience, the link to the convention information and registration page is posted below my clothes/signature block.

Best regards,
Rob Tabor | first vice president/legislative Director national Federation of the blind of Kansas
