Subject: Caroling Adventure

Dear Friends,

My name is Tina Jinkens, and I live in Eudora. I know many of you, but
probably not everyone. I wanted to extend an invitation to you to join me on
an annual caroling adventure! Every year I carol with a group of around 20
blind and sighted friends who have been spreading holiday cheer together for
close to 50 years. Singers and instrumentalists come from the greater Kansas
City area and from places as far away as Wichita, KS and central MO. This
year, Martha Kehr from Audio Reader has graciously offered to provide
transportation for anyone in the Lawrence area who might be interested in
participating. If you are interested in coming or if you have questions,
please contact me at 785-615-8373. We sing both Christmas and Hanukkah music
as well as a few other songs that are not specific to either holiday but
that remind us to count our blessings and share them with others.
The schedule is as follows:

Monday, December 29 from 6:00 to 9:00: Practice for instrumentalists with a
pizza supper at the home of Malachy and Kilmeny Connor, 5511 W 85 St.,
Overland Park. Please bring $5.00 to contribute to pizza,) Tuesday, December
30: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM: Practice for all singers and musicians at the home
of Malachy and Kilmeny Connor. Lunch will follow practice, and carolers
bring their own lunch.
1:30 PM: Caroling at Azria Healthcare Center in Olathe.
3:00 PM: Caroling at Meadowbrook Senior Living in Overland Park.
4:30 PM: Return to the home of Malachy and Kilmeny Connor for more caroling
and post-caroling party. Participants are asked to bring a side item to
accompany chili.

I look forward to seeing anyone who might be able to join us!
