A big problem I ran into was places wanting to charge to reserve their rooms and often the fee was not refundable.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>We will be meeting at a new eating establishment in Lawrence. It is called Oriental Bistro and Grill and it is located at 1511 W. 23rd Street. The prices are reasonable and it has everything from appetizers to fried rice, pad thai, tempura, sushi, etc. It serves Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai and I believe Vietnamese fare. The menu is quite extensive. We had a chance to take a look at the menu a week or so ago and it looks wonderful! You can get seafood, meat or vegetarian options and they have a wine bar if anyone is interested. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>We have it from noon until between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m. on December 11. It is under the Jayhawk Chapter or the National Federation of the Blind of Kansas and I'm listed as the contact. Apparently they have done some renovations; hthe gentleman I spoke with said they'd really fixed up the meeting room. Rob's office is going there for lunch tomorrow and he will take a look.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>I hope this meets with everyone's approval.
