How sad that what should be one of our most valuable resources in Lawrence (VR) seems to be permanently closed for remodeling. But I'm delighted you will have a party of three, with baked beans, at the picnic. See you there. The news came to me via Donna Wood who informed me of this unfortunate development in a telephone call this evening. This decision was driven by an attitude of complacency and indifference at the district management level in the ranks of Kansas Rehab Services, who was willing only to send VR counselors from nearby KRS offices. It was determined by the executive committee of our state affiliate board that going ahead with the seminar with five or frewr VR counselors attending would not have been an efficient utilization of resources. It should be noted we were offering this very powerful employment networking seminar free of charge to the state of Kansas, and this makes this attitude of indifference at the mid management level very puzzling to say the very least. IN any event, You have your day back now, so I’ll see you at the picnic at Centennial Park next Saturday.

Best regards,

Rob
