Rob, I hate to break it to you -- but "pretty chilly" in Duluth
doesn't mean the same thing as in Lawrence, (smile.) Yes, it can
get cold, snowy, etc. where you are, but not as cold or as for
long. It is 13 below this morning where I am, so probably 20 below
in Duluth. It has been below freezing with the exception of 1 day,
since early december here, and below zero 20 out of 31 nights in January,
and duluth is worse.<br><br>

Hey, Chikako,<br>
<br>
Great to hear from you and hope things are well with you and Kara in
chilly Duluth. I suspect you wouldn’t feel much warmer in KS except for
warmth of heart as it’s pretty chilly here too nowadays. I thought of
you a lot while we were in DC as you were a regular for several years in
the Kansas delegation. Perhaps you will be settled in your routines and
can break away to join us next year from the Minnesota delegation.<br>
Warmest regards,<br>
Rob<br>

</dd><dd>Hello all,<br>
</dd><dd>Would any of us be interested in going to see the new Kevin
Willmott move “Jayhawkers” at the Lied Center the weekend of
Feb. 14-16? I have made a request to KU Audio Reader to have one of the
screenings described. Here is a blurb about it from the Facebook page
<a href="http://www.facebook.com/JayhawkersMovie">
www.facebook.com/JayhawkersMovie</a>:<br>
</dd><dd> <br>
</dd><dd>"<a href="https://www.facebook.com/JayhawkersMovie">
Jayhawkers</a>" tells the story of a group of unlikely allies who
modernized college sports and changed Lawrence during the Civil Rights
movement that would transform the entire American Society. Jayhawkers
stars KU alumnus Kip Niven (Magnum Force) as Coach Phog Allen, Jay Karnes
(The Shield) as Chancellor Franklin Murphy, Trai Byers (90210) as jazz
musician Nathan Davis and current KU forward Justin Wesley as Wilt
Chamberlain. <br>
</dd><dd> <br>
</dd><dd>Scot Pollard is also in it, as well as Kevin Willmott and
several Lawrence residents as extras.<br>
</dd><dd> <br>
</dd><dd>Showtimes are:<br>
</dd><dd>Friday, February 14 at 7 p.m. & 9 p.m.<br><br>

</dd><dd>I just contacted Audio Reader today; they will try to get an advance
copy and set up a volunteer to do this, but of course can’t guarantee
anything yet.<br>
</dd><dd>If you do want to go, what showtime would be the best? They would
probably only provide description for one showtime. I took a guess and
told them Saturday at 11:00 am, but let me know your preferences. I
realize that is also our regular meeting dayso we could maybe carpool to
Independence, Inc. afterward? Or maybe an evening show is preferablelet
me know! We should get tickets as soon as we decide.<br>
