To add to David's list, HTML, CSS and PHP are also very helpful for web
development. Additionally, Bootstrap, Agile and Ruby On Rails are helpful as
well.  If you want to write IOS apps or programs for Mac, you'll need Swift
at the very least.

I am not a programmer, but read lots of things. I would say, Python, Java,
and/or some flavor of C like C++ or C#.  If you want to do web development,
then javascript -- which is different from Java.
