[Job-Discussions] NFB BUILD Program

I have been reading these messages about volunteering and I find no
fault in that at all.  It's a great way to start getting experience.  I
to wish the negativity would stop.  If I may ask, what do people on the
build team do?  I'm considering it but want to know a bit more about
it.  Thanks in advance.

>> Go look up the definition of volunteer. Volunteering is not a bad thing at all, and I will say that I have been on the BUILD Team for some time now,and enjoy it. Also, those of you who are hating on the NFB about this should not even be on this list in my personal opinion. Also, those of you who are spouting off this nonsense do not understand that there are a ton of organizations who use volunteers some of which I have volunteered with such as Habitat for Humanity and a Wildlife Refuge. Other organizations that have volunteers are hospitals, and many small towns and rural communities have all volunteer fire departments and EMS agencies like where I currently live. So, volunteering is not a bad thing like some of you try to make it out to be,and I will say this now, I will eventually be looking for volunteers to help out with my coffee business when the timing is right, but the two posts I have seen so far against volunteering on the BUILD Team, those two people can forget it completely.
