My suggestion to you is to call your center for independent living, or maybe
your center for the blind and see if you can speak with a work incentive
coordinator. They are benefits counselors that can look at your case and
give you the inns and outs of of SSI and SSDI.
Thanks,
Justin

Subject: [Job-Discussions] Pros and Cons of SSDI?
Potentially unpopular opinion which would like counter-facts please: SSDI
takes too much work to get on to and is far too easy to lose. Ergo, is it
really desirable to be on SSDI? On paper it seems not.
I would be especially interested in knowing what happens if you get onto
SSDI, and then either lose the job that allowed you to activate SSDI, or if
one is a gig worker who has their season end? What happens to the SSDI per
the rules?
Many thanks in advance
Andrew Harmon
