Shelly,

If you want to do volunteer work, start calling organizations in your
vicinity that use volunteers. But you can certainly work and get your
benefits and medical too. Some of the people on this list are doing that
and will be happy to advise you.

Hi Group:

I have always wanted a job and to feel like I'm contributing to society but
haven't found one yet. I have been looking for a long time and made the
decision not to pursue it due to losing my SSDI. I have my health
insurance and I can't afford to lose that as well as my other benefits. I
don't have a lot of experience since I haven't been given a chance after
all of the interviews I went on. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas
for volunteer work? I would like to do something with production,
manufacturing, or packing or even packaging. If any of you have any
insight into this and some advice, I would greatly appreciate it. I have
been in the office field all of my life and I don't really want to do
that. Thanks in advance.

Shelly

I thought the maximum you could earn was 2110 for one blind person. Can
someone confirm that please

Thank you.

What is the maximum you can earn in 2021 and not have it effect your SSDI?

problem is that SSA appears to have no clue what the rules are for those of
us who work and are on SSDI. My local office had no idea what the rules
are and neither does the national office when I have contacted them. I
have only had a good experience in Louisiana. Fortunately, my last jobs
did not pay high enough to effect things, and the next job that I am after
that looks promising, I will be slightly above the maximum even after
taking out my taxes to get it down. No big deal since I can get it dow
nthe rest of the way between transportations and a couple other things that
I can deduct.

takes too much work to get on to and is far too easy to lose. Ergo, is it
really desirable to be on SSDI? On paper it seems not.

one is a gig worker who has their season end? What happens to the SSDI per
the rules?
