This email was accidently sent to the wrong list. I meant to reply to a message at the bottom of this email, but didn’t first check the forum that it came from. I apologize to the moderator for that.

Your question is a great one. I have been interested in contract closeout for a while now and would like to know how this program you mentioned works to better the lives of blind people. How long is the program? How did you sign up? Thanks.

Hi David,
Hope you are doing well. First of all, I really appreciate all the job listings you share via the nfb jobs list.

I was wondering if you are familiar with the National Industries of the Blind and their Contract Specialist program to work for the Department of Defense. Have you seen cases of success of candidates completing their program and launching a contractor specialist job? I have currently started their program and wondering if it will be worth my time to go through the course. Please let me know your thoughts on this program, and if you happen to know folks who have been employed through this program.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
Zeeshan
