Ya know Preston, it’s unusual for a company to only have a linkedin profile and not a facebook or twitter page…you’d think that linkedin would’ve thunkof thatby now…if indeed it is a scam andof course we’ve all agreed that it certainly sounds likeone

This is very good to know, thank you all very much and yes I thought it was a spam email, but I’m glad I’m not alone in this matter when I search the company online all I could see was a LinkedIn page not indeed or any other job source

Hello,
What I'm going to share with you doesn't really relate to the question
you're asking. But I just want to share just because.
I was scheduled to complete a virtual interview today and decided that I
wasn't going to finish the virtual interview. This was with an insurance
company

This is just my opinion ... but I would say two things, first, I have read
that some companies do check credit scores, so by itself it isn't
necessarily a deal breaker. However, they seem pretty focused on getting the
score etc., so it is suspicious at best, and a scam most likely.
(Fallon Rayn). I attended the virtual interview yesterday. They ask that
there potential employees become licensed in their state before they are
hired. But the person has to pay for the licensing.
The reason that I am sharing this is because I wanted to say that you are
not alone in receiving such offers and to be careful.
Thank you!
Dave

Hi Everyone:
I hope you are well.
I just received an email from one of the jobs I applied to on Linkedin, but
I have a feeling that the next step of what they want me to do may be a
scam.
I have pasted the info below, and want to get your thoughts about it.
I thank you very much for your assistance, and hope you enjoy the rest of
your day!
BTW, this is for a remote CSR opprotunity that was posted.
Sincerely yours,
Preston

Dear Applicant,

Thanks for your reply. Your next step in this hiring process is to complete
our new employee questionnaire.

Job requirements:

Outstanding written/oral communication skills to perform duties including
responding to phones and taking messages, the preparation of mailings, the
order and maintenance of supply amounts, easy copying, typical filing and
emailing, and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Please note that our company requires all potential employees to have a
credit score on file for your interview. We ask for this because you will
have access to company credit cards for business expenses. We request that
each potential employee complete this as this ensures us that our future
employee is credible, trustworthy and can be an asset of the company.

Please also note that because of the new economy we take into consideration
that there may be some blemishes on a large portion of applicant scores.
Rest assured that your credit scores itself aren't significant, but our
company still requires the report.

Please complete and print your credit score by clicking : Apply here

You will need to bring a copy with you to your interview. This credit score
costs you only one dollar and is entirely secure from the most trusted
credit score website online.

Please complete this first step ASAP as we only have 48 hours to set up
interviews. When you have completed the credit score, reply to this email,
and we will set a time for an interview.

I look forward to meeting you.

 Thank you

Hiring Manager
