Michael, have you tried the NFB jobs list? I believe I have the subscription for it and if I don’t' I' sure several others on this list will.
I can't help you with your job search, except to tell you that in Arizona, they are hiring as many as 10,000 IT people a year throughout the state and on the jobs listings, there are usually a lot of jobs that come through with an IT slant.
Hope this helps, and if I can be of any further help, advice, or etc. don't hesitate to ask.
Robert

Subject: [Job-Discussions] Looking for my next information technology job in St. Louis, Missouri

Hi,

I am new to this list. I was born and raised in St. Louis, and I am totally blind. I worked as a programmer for about six years, and am out looking for my next IT job.

I enjoy working with databases and web development. I am open to exploring really any IT opportunities, even outside of programming.

From a blindness perspective, what suggestions do you have for searching for jobs? How do you find jobs and companies that are friendly to hiring blind people? As a side note, I love remote work.

When you have landed that dream job, what do you do when you have issues with reasonable accommodations? I have experienced the situation where I obtain JAWS, but internal websites may not be accessible. How do you get the help you need in that case?

Thank you,

Michael Walker
