Hi,

Of course blind people won’t be driving the truck!

I was describing what what was seen!

I wouldn’t expect the pace to be any slower in the warehouses!

Bryan,

Blind people are not going to drive delivery trucks. Amazon, like most companies, has organized systems for its employees to follow. Since the work is in warehouses, the work is primarily materials labeling and transfer. Each plant is somewhat different. What is consistent is that the jobs are physical and require that each employee meets production standards. Amazon is interested in hiring blind people for other jobs too.

Hi,

Of course I haven’t seen the warehouse conditions in person but you can’t deny delivery drivers park in the middle of the street and have to run from the truck to the house and back to the truck all day!

You can’t tell me the blind employee knows where every product is located in the warehouse from memory!

HI Bryan,

There are a number of blind people working at Amazon, so I am not going to explain how a blind person can do the work. I have toured one Amazon plant and I did not see the conditions you describe. If you choose not to work there, that is fine, but let others make their own decisions and please do not poison the well.

Thank you,

Dick Davis

Hi,

If you don’t know the conditions of working for amazon, the crew is expected to RUN not walk through the warehouse and grab products in about five seconds!

I would love to hear your reasoning of how a truly blind worker would be able to do this!

Bryan
