Have you called freedom to see if the platform is accessible, or if it can be made accessible?

As I said in a previous post. I would have no problems if they presented me with an alternative option. They just asked me what software I use. I would be willing to use whatever software they are willing to use on their systems. So it is nothing about discrimination here at this point. It's more that it would be discrimination if they gave me the job and then took it back due to supposedly no accessibility issues.

One could argue that.

True.

I don't care to be forced into a spot, but you have a point.

I don’t think of it as discrimination, if they find a way to make the job accessible, regardless of whether they use VoiceOver or JAWS. The point is that they find a way to make the job accessible.

I would still call that discrimination if thye don't give you a jaws for windows options at all.

This wouldn't be a work from home position. I would actually be going into the call center. But that does help and give me a bit of information.

Hello

I have tried applying direct with Conduient and they have point-blank told me they do not have any support for JAWS or screen-reading technology as of the time of applying back in 2018. I don’t know if they have changed at all, but they were pretty blatant about not wanting me as I very specifically mentioned I am a screen-reader user and wanted to ask who to contact regarding their technology as I had already been burned by applying to a work-from-home company called “My Employment Options”.

Hope this helps

Sincerely

Andrew Harmon

Good morning all,

I applied for a job at a place called paper solutions here in New york. They are a call center job that does work for different companies. However after I got my offer and filled out all my tax forms. We started talking about my accessibility needs. They are now trying to figure out if the software will be accessible. But are basically telling me that if it's not that the job will not exist anymore. However they are working with a company called conduent which runs their call center software. And I'm trying to find out if anybody has had any experience with this company? Also if they have if these call center softwares are accessible with jobs for windows. Any help or guidance in the right direction and navigating this situation would be grateful. Mike
