[Job-Discussions] Cover Letters

Hello Julie,
Cover letters are job specific but that only means make it personal,
so that companies don't feel like you're applying to jobs in bulk. I
echo what has already been said about being yourself. Think of it like
an advert. You want to communicate thee most important things you want
the potential employer to know, in short form. Keeping it to a page or
less means the person at the other end is more likely to read it. The
length and style are up to you, in the end.

I run a job skills session, the first Wednesday of every month on the
ACB Community. Cover letters, resumes, interview issues, whatever
people need help with, they bring it. That's how it's supposed to work
anyway, hee hee!

Very best wishes,
Sandra.
