Transportation is assumed, that you can get back and forth to work.  Not
that your request is unfounded, but just remember that when you are writing
your accommodation request.

Hi,

Are there any coworkers who live close to you?
If it's what I'm thinking, you signed the form that says you live close
enough to the office to physically be at the office one day a week so should
budget accordingly to comply to what you agreed to!

Hello all, I am currently in the process of attempting, for the second time,
to write a reasonable accommodation request. I work for the federal
government and I can do my job from home with no issues. There is no added
benefit to my being in the office, in order to perform job duties.
currently, we have to report to an office once per week. However, this is
generally not easy to do due to lack of transportation. I am totally blind
and have access to no buses nearby. I would have to take Uber, a train, and
two buses to get to the office. and, I would probably never make it on time.
How can I word my request, solely based on disability, in order to be
allowed to work from home permanently? Tha thanks.
