[Job-Discussions] Take time with resumes

Hi Everyone,

Once again I want to remind all of you to take the time and effort necessary to produce a well-written resume that is targeted to the job for which you are applying. It takes more time and effort, but it greatly increases your chances of getting an interview. 

Read the job posting carefully and customize your resume so that it shows the knowledge, skills, and abilities you have that make you a good, or hopefully perfect, fit for the job. Your cover letter offers you a less formal way to explain why you are a good fit for the job. Take time with it too. 

And always check your resume and cover letter for mistakes. Microsoft Word has an excellent editor. Have someone else critique it for you. I continue to be amazed by how many people, sighted and blind, do not take the time to do this.
