Hi all!
Before I dive into the reason for my email, I wanted to give this tech update regarding the website that runs this list. I had to reply to an earlier message because when I visited the main website, it was totally bugged and gave an error message that said, “Sorry! There’s a bug!”, and can’t use the main website for this list because the error message covered all of the links and the rest of that webpage.
Now, on to why I’m out here:
I’m Kendra from Oregon. I’m espiring to become a teacher of English to Students of Other Languages. I’m currently researching the field with the altament goal of finding the shortest route possible to become a teacher of Students of Other Languages in Oregon, then taking that route to get there.
I’m currently looking for teachers of English to Students of Other Languages, idealy, in Oregon to conduct informational interviews with them. I don’t know of any teachers of English to Students of Other Languages, who are either blind or sighted anywhere in Oregon. Ok, the teachers don’t have to be blind. I’m just covering all of my bases here. I’m also looking for options and ideas to find teachers of English to Students of Other Languages in edition to the ones that I already know about. I’m already trying to contact teachers at my local community college. My counselor at the Oregon Commission for the Blind is trying to get ahold of someone from my local Easter Seal’s branch. She is also going to attend a jobs meeting on Thursday where she’ll get more ideas on where to look for these teachers. She’s also going to try another worksource place that’s currently mostly online, thanks to the Trump related funding and staffing cuts. We also have to look into finding out how accessible that website is before I touch it because I might have to schedule an extra appointment if it’s not accessible to get help using that website. Does anyone have other ideas to explore where I could find teachers of English to Students of Other Languages in Oregon? Oregon’s mailing lists are just as bugged as the national mailing lists so I don’t think I can post this kind of question, let alone, any other kind of question on an Oregon list, plus, there isn’t a jobs mailing list in Oregon anyway even without bugs blocking that route. I appriciate any ideas that you all can send my way! I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Kendra
Please excuse any errors that sneak past my editing attempts. Thank you for taking the time to read my email message!
