[Job-Discussions] braille on my resume...

You might also be a great house cleaner, but unless that is going to help you get the job, I would leave it off.

All skills aren't created equal, so unless that braille skill is something that the employer would be interested in, I wouldn't use it.

I would do that with any skill however, not just braille.

If that defines you as a person, then leave it on.
Some people play it like that and use the blindness as a thing.

Be prepared to describe how that helps you on a job, and how that is going to help them and improve their bottom line.

Be prepared to describe how that is an asset to the company if necessary.

I leave all unrelated stuff out of interviews, professional conversations, and anything pertaining to business and career.

Keep in mind, people get really stupid when it comes to disability and blindness, even smart people, so unless you are prepared to tell stories which might get you off track from what you want, which is the job, or the professional contact, or what have you, blindness, and anything unrelated should be left out.

We aren't out here to make anybody comfortable with blindness, at least, I'm not.

I'm out here to succeed like everyone else.

And, I'm a professional, not a blind professional.

Thanks,

Justin

And even the resumes course I had to take in college I was told to put all m= y skills on the resume. So I would say leave it on there.
