<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">In this Librarian role within the Indiana Talking Book and Braille Library program, you will operate independently at a senior subject specialist level providing an advanced level of technical expertise and
research/information retrieval expertise to residents of Indiana who cannot use standard printed materials due to a visual or physical disability. The Indiana Talking Book and Braille Library is a cooperating network library of the National Library Service
for the Blind and Print Disabled.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-size:14.0pt">A Day in the Life:<o:p></o:p></span></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">The essential functions of this role are as follows:<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Provides direct service to patrons of the library by answering reference questions, performing reader advisory, and assisting with circulation as needed.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Oversees the cataloging of all audio, braille, and large print titles.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Serves as the liaison between the library and the vendors for the bi-annual Vision Expo and arranges speakers for presentations.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Coordinates annual summer reading program for patrons aged 4-18: orders materials, creates reading lists, sends mailings, tracks participants, and distributes prizes.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Selects and orders large print books from distributors multiple times per year.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
