<p class="MsoNormal">As the Library Supervisor, you will be responsible for serving in a leadership role in the Indiana State Library by providing an advanced level of technical expertise and research/informational retrieval expertise in such specialized areas
of information science as federal, state, and local documents, census data, bibliographic control, material processing, Indiana history, genealogy and reference/research queries in broad subject fields of knowledge in all types of formats. In this position,
you will be an ambassador for the State Library connecting the resources throughout the state and staying abreast of national and international trends in library science.

<p class="MsoNormal">Act as a liaison to the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled, ensuring the library is following the policies and guidelines established by NLS.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Serve as the primary administrator for the library’s ILS. Work with IT to provide tech support as needed for staff, schedule updates, provide training to staff, load stats into the database, perform an annual audit of patron accounts, and
do database clean-up as needed.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Compile monthly, quarterly, and yearly statistics for library stakeholders.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Provide direct service to patrons of the library by answering reference questions, performing reader advisory, and assisting with circulation as needed.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Serve as an assistive technology expert for the Talking Book department, staying up to date on new technologies and trends. Create instructional material for patrons based on the type of assistive technology materials they are using. Serve
as a resource for staff and patrons as NLS looks to introduce a refreshable braille device as part of its supplied equipment.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Help organize and carry out outreach around the state; work with local organizations to promote the service to eligible users.<o:p></o:p></p>
