<li><b>Coordinating Services:</b> You'll connect consumers with essential
resources, from counseling and blindness skills training to job placement
and post-employment supports.

<b>Who We're Looking For<br>
</b><br>
The ideal candidate has a <b>Master's degree in Rehabilitation
Counseling</b> and three years of relevant experience. We also heavily
value professional certifications like the <b>Certified Rehabilitation
Counselor (CRC)</b> credential.<br><br>
However, we understand that talent comes in many forms. We will consider
applicants with a <b>Bachelor's degree</b> in a related field such as
Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling, Sociology, Special Education,
Psychology, Guidance and Counseling, Social Work or a related degree as
referenced by statute, with no experience required. If you're selected
with a bachelor's degree, we're committed to investing in youwe will
<b>cover the cost of your Master's degree</b> in Vocational
Rehabilitation Counseling, which you'll need to complete within four
years of hire.<br><br>

<b>Employment Requirements</b>
<ul>
<li>You must either have or be eligible to sit for the <b>Certified
Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC)</b> certification.
<li>You must also be able to obtain and maintain a <b>New Mexico
rehabilitation counselor license </b>as defined in the New Mexico Public
Education Department Rules (6.63.11).
<li>We require all applicants to submit a copy of their unofficial
college transcripts.

<b>The Work Environment<br>
</b><br>
This position is primarily office-based, but its far from sedentary.
You'll be on the move. Youll travel regularly (including routine
overnight stays) within your service area to meet with consumers
utilizing an agency vehicle. While you'll perform most of your work using
a computer and phone, the most important part of your job is the human
connection. Be prepared to work with individuals who may have additional
disabilities and various needs that may result in challenging behaviors.
You may occasionally partner with consumers who use service animals.
