>This is a non-merit position with the Iowa Department for the Blind.

>The Department for the Blind (IDB) is seeking applicants for the position of
>Senior Services Specialist for the Blind 1/Jobs/Life Skills  instructor in
>the Adult Comprehensive Adjustment to Blindness Training Center.  This
>person provides small group instruction in nonvisual skills   using the
>structured discovery model.  This instructor will teach students in the
>Center life skills such as personal care, budgeting, and alternative
>blindness techniques to successfully live independently. In addition, this
>person would work with students to find a career goal, facilitate skill and

>Minimum Qualification Requirements

>Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in human
>service-oriented sciences, education, marketing or business and experience

>counselor or teacher shall be considered as qualifying provided the employee
>has successfully completed training to meet the certification criteria
