[Journalists] Tips on taking pictures and videos

Hello.

As I advance with my Journalism career here in Argentina, new challenges appear. One of them is taking pictures and videos, specially when they have to be taken outside with interviewees at noisy and crowded places. Can some of you be successful with this task doing it independently?.
I'm open to hear your tips and suggestions.
