Hi Emma,
The easiest way is to use the free Zoom Cloud Meetings app for your smart phone:
1. If you have an iPhone, the “Zoom Cloud Meetings” app is the first result when you enter the search term “Zoom”. It is free.
2. Once the app downloads and you open it, activate the “Join” button that appears on the “Meet and Chat” tab, which is the tab in the lower-left corner of the app’s screen.
3. Then enter our meeting ID: 2159880888. That’s it. You will be in the meeting.
4. While in the meeting, you can press the mute button to mute yourself if there is a lot of noise in your environment. Press that button again to unmute yourself when you want to talk.
You can also dial in using any telephone:
1. Dial 646-876-9923.
2. Then enter our meeting ID when prompted: 2159880888 and press the pound key, which is in the lower-right corner of the telephone keypad. You will be in the meeting.
3. To mute or unmute yourself, press star 6. The star key is in the lower-left corner of the telephone keypad.
If you would rather join using a computer, just follow this link:
https://zoom.us/my/nfbpennsylvania
It might ask if you want to download an use the Zoom desktop client, which you should probably do, since it is very accessible and gives you easy control over muting yourself, etc.
If you have any additional questions about using Zoom or about our events, please email me directly at:

Joe

Hello everyone,
Since most of us are quarantined at home, the National Federation of the Blind of Pennsylvania is trying to help engage with you remotely through a number of events we will be hosting this week. Even more events will be available for you soon to join us to learn, to share, and to break the tedium of being at home without much social interaction.
How to Participate
We will use the Zoom platform for all of our events, so there are several ways you can join us:
1. From within the free Zoom app on your iPhone or Android, just hit the “Join” button and enter our meeting ID (below).
2. On your computer, use the Zoom desktop application or any web browser using the link below or the meeting ID.
3. Using a standard telephone, dial 646-876-9923, and then enter our meeting ID when prompted.
We will be using the same meeting ID for all of our events:
2159880888
If this sounds familiar, that is because it is the phone number for the affiliate office in Philadelphia.
The following link will also take you directly to our events:

Upcoming Events
And now, here are the upcoming events scheduled so far:
Fitness and Wellness Worrier’s Time with Lily
Every Wednesday and Friday from 1PM to 1:30PM.
Starting on Wednesday, April 1, 2020
Due to all of us being stuck at home during this difficult time, it is important to boost our immune system and make sure that we are still getting some exercise. During this fitness and wellness session we will be talking about ways of how to boost the immune system, and about how to take care of our mental and emotional health. We will be doing brief workouts, meditations, and yoga over Zoom. I have learned a lot of these techniques during my college years of taking integrative health care courses.
coffee with Emily
Every Wednesday and Friday from 2PM to 3PM.
Starting on Wednesday, April 1, 2020
We will discuss legislative issues facing blind Americans, laws affecting the education of your blind children, and our Braille Enrichment for Literacy and Learning (BELL) programs scheduled for this summer. Parents, teachers of blind students, and anyone interested in the topics of legislation, parenting, and education are encouraged to join us. Please note that this event is informative and does not represent any form of legal advice.
Kernel Book Discussions with Justin
Every Tuesday and Thursday from 5PM to 6PM.
Starting on Thursday, April 2, 2020
