[KeyStoneChapter] October 2021 Chapter Meeting

Hey everyone!
It's almost Saturday, and this Saturday we're going in-person!! That's right! Our October 9, 2021 meeting will be this Saturday, and it will be held in-person! The meeting begins at 10:15 a.m.

Our new meeting location is the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, otherwise known as the Penn Museum. The museum is located at 3260 South Street in Philadelphia. It is accessible by SEPTA. The Penn Medicine Station is directly across the street from the museum and the following regional rail lines stop there, Airport Line, Manayunk/Norristown Line, Media/Elwyn Line, Warminster Line, West Trenton Line, and Wilmington/Newark Line. The following bus routes stop within a few blocks of the museum, 30, 40, 42, and 49. The following trolley lines stop near the museum, 11, 13, 34, and 36. The Market-Frankford line is also an option. Please note that the museum cafe will not be open due to cOVID restrictions. So please bring some snacks or a bag lunch.
At this October 9th meeting we will be given a special sensory tour of the Rome exhibit! Thats not all, after the meeting we will have the opportunity to try out the Aira app for free to explore the entire museum! Our feedback on using Aira will help the museum staff determine if this is beneficial to blind or visually impaired museum attendees in the future. What a cool way to impact our community!

Later in the month, our chapter will again be hosting our second annual Believe You Can! 2021 (BYC) talent show! If you would like to support our chapter, you can purchase tickets at https://believeyoucan.live/ Individual tickets are $10 and watch party tickets are $25.  Please also spread the word to your friends, family, neighbors, and cousins and pass this link along so that others can support a great cause, the Keystone Chapter of the NFB of PA!

Come and learn, share, connect, and help in our movement to make our communities a more equitable place for blind people. If you have never been to a Keystone Chapter meeting before, or haven't been here in a while, it's never too late to start or to reconnect. We are so excited to see everyone there!

However, for those of you who are truly unable to attend in person, we will still continue to have a virtual component to the meeting. See login info below.
