[KeyStoneChapter] Keystone Chapter Meeting Recap

Hello there Keystone Chapter Members and Friends,

We had a beautiful day to travel to the Penn Museum for our monthly meeting on Saturday, April 8th. If you couldn’t make it, I hope you were able to be part of the meeting via Zoom. We listened to Presidential Release #526 <https://nfb.org/sites/nfb.org/files/2023-04/presidential_release_april_2023_chapter_version_final.mp3>. President Riccobono spoke about the announcement of the National Federation of the Blind 2023 Route 66 Ride for Literacy <https://nfb.org/route66>. Dan O’Rourke will bike the 2400+ miles from Santa Monica to Chicago this summer. Dan grew up watching “his blind father defeat all obstacles in his path.” While Dan is not blind himself, he has probably been called blind more times than you or I while doing his job as an NHL on-ice official.

After the meeting, seven of us walked to the New Deck Tavern <https://www.newdecktavern.com/> for lunch. Maybe you’ll come with us after our next meeting in May?

2023 Membership Dues

Keystone Chapter Spin Fundraiser

We will be holding our 2nd Annual Spin Fundraiser on May 6 at 1:00 PM at Cycle Bar Center City (1521 Locust Street.) I hope you can join us for a 45 minute workout. The cost is only $25. I’ve attached a flyer for the event. Please email it to your friends and family. Contact me if you have any questions.

Dinner For A Week Fundraiser

We are planning a fundraiser where we give away gift cards for seven restaurants.  We are approaching national chains for gift card donations. We have created a letter for you to take with you when you go. If you’d like a copy emailed to you, let me know.
