                                          hi everyone!
 Happy,      happy New Year!
Our first Keystone Chapter meeting of this year will be this Saturday, January 11,2025, and held using a hybrid model, with an in-person and a virtual option. The meeting will begin at 10:15 a.m. Please see below for the directions to the Penn Museum and the Zoom link for the meeting.

Some things to keep in mind:

  1.  We are collecting print books and unwanted canes for students at a school for the deaf and blind in Ghana, Africa. If you have any of these items and would like to donate, please bring them to the January chapter meeting.



  1.  We will be discussing the national NFB Washington Seminar.



  1.  Elections: At this meeting we will hold annual elections for all Keystone chapter board positions. If you are interested in nominating someone, or yourself, for a board position, please contact Jan Lattuca, committee chair at 267-453-1661, or email jrlattuca at gmail.com<mailto:jrlattuca at gmail.com>.



  1.  Opportunities: There are many opportunities to participate, help out, and give back to the blind community this year.  We will discuss what we plan to do in 2025 and how you can serve in this bright new year.


Come and learn, share, connect, and help in our movement to make our communities a more equitable place for blind people. If you have never been to a Keystone Chapter meeting before, or haven't been here in a while, it's never too late to start or to reconnect. We are so excited to see everyone there!

Travel to the Penn Museum via SEPTA
Our new meeting location is the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, otherwise known as the Penn Museum. The museum is located at 3260 South Street in Philadelphia. It is accessible by SEPTA. The Penn Medicine Station is directly across the street from the museum and the following regional rail lines stop there, Airport Line, Manayunk/Norristown Line, Media/Elwyn Line, Warminster Line, West Trenton Line, and Wilmington/Newark Line. The following bus routes stop within a few blocks of the museum, 30, 40, 42, and 49. The following trolley lines stop near the museum, 11, 13, 34, and 36. The Market-Frankford line is also an option.
